On November 17th at 10:00 AM (UTC +1:00) we will replace the current server certificate which is used for the validation of the SOAP responses.
This time, we will replace it with a self-signed certificate which will be valid for five years. So we will no longer use the SSL certificate (for the webservices url) also for signing.
To continue to validate the responses you will need to take action. On this page your will find three ways to replace the server certificate in the case of different implementations.
1. You can download the new toolkit here
2. Replace the java toolkit (jar) with the new one.
3. You can replace it at any time prior to November 17th, the toolkit will handle the switch automatically.
3. Backup the current *.acceptemail.com certificate from the certificate store: Manage Computer Certificates, Local Computer / Personal / Certificates)
4. On November 17, 10:00 delete the current *.acceptemail.com certificate from Certificates – Local Computer and import the one from the toolkit in the “Certs” directory: server_signing_certificate.public.key.2020-11-04.cer
See if your own or third party implementation has the option to switch off response validation. If so:
1. Modify your configuration to switch off response validation
2. Download the new certificate here
3. Replace the existing certificate with the new one.
4. After the certificate has been replaced on November 17th 2020 10:00 AM (UTC +1:00) you can switch back on response validation
How you can install and replace the certificate depends on your method of implementation and the language used.
If you do not have the option to temporarily switch off response validation, you will have to switch the certificate at the exact same time we switch it at our side.
If you require assistance with replacing the certificate, feel free to contact support or operations.
